Samsung has launched its cheapest-ever Smartphone in India-‘Galaxy M01 Core’. It is the third in the Galaxy M-series line of smartphones in the country. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 5499(base variant) making it Samsung’s most affordable smartphone in India. It is Samsung’s third smartphone to be launched under Rs 10000 price category in the year 2020 the other two being Samsung Galaxy M01 and Galaxy M01s. It has been targeted at users who are yet to upgrade to smartphones as well as entry-level smartphone users.

This Galaxy M01 Core comes with several ‘Make for India’ features that help users transition from feature phones to smartphones. Galaxy M01 Core features an intelligent screen, with dynamic screen timeout for power optimization. Galaxy M01 Core has a feature called as ‘Intelligent Inputs- Smart Paste and Suggest Notification ’.
Suggest Notification: warns the users about low battery and allows them to open their running app or any other critical app in Maximum Power Saving Mode for extended run time.
‘Smart Paste’ allows users to paste the relevant text like pasting the website URL on the web browser, mobile number on phone dialer and email id in mail application – all extracted from the same message automatically.
Another interesting feature on Galaxy M01 Core is ‘Intelligent Photos’; it detects similar or duplicate photos and gives users suggestions to keep the best photo while discarding other photos to free up space. Galaxy M01 Core also features Dark Mode – One UI based Dark Mode integration, which is easier on the eyes and helps in battery saving. All these ‘Make for India’ features help Galaxy M01 Core deliver best-in-class performance.
This phone comes with two RAM variants, with different prices for both of them. One is 1 GB with 16 GB storage priced at Rs.5499 while the other is 2 GB with 32 GB storage priced at Rs. 6499. There are three color options for this phone Red, Black, and Blue.

The smartphone offers up to 32 GB storage capacity and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor.

Samsung has reached its highest shares in the past years, according to Counterpoint Research’s Q2 data. Samsung brand has recovered fastest as it has reached 94% of pre-COVID levels becoming the second largest brand in Counterpoint Research’s Q2 2020.
By the way, “Revamping the M-series and launching it in offline channels together with new schemes like Samsung Care+ helped the brand to further its position in the Indian market. Samsung also has a diversified supply chain compared to its competitors, which helped it to maintain a steady flow in components. It was the first brand to reach almost full manufacturing capacity by the end of June”, Counterpoint said.
